Seminars

The School of History has a vibrant programme of regular research seminars and reading groups. Talks are given by a mixture of St Andrews researchers and invited speakers from Britain, Europe and beyond. The School also supports a huge range of lectures, workshops and conferences organised by staff and postgraduate researchers.

Research seminars and lectures are open to all members of the University and to the interested public (free of charge). Do check the venue carefully, as the School of History is a split-site School: the most common locations are St John’s House on South Street, or St Katharine’s Lodge on The Scores.

Workshops and conferences often require advance registration and may involve a fee: details of the arrangements are given on the specific event page.
